Kogi MSEs: Governor Bello to Distribute ICT Enhancement Tools

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is set to distribute Information Communication, Technology (ICT) enhancement business toolkits to Micro Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the State.
This in fulfilment of the Kogi State COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (KG-CARES) programme, Result Area 3, under the ICT enhancement grants aimed at supporting benefitting Enterprises to embrace technology for business sustainability.
The project, which is being implemented by the Kogi Enterprise Development Agency (KEDA), seeks to foster the growth of MSEs in Kogi State that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Managing Director/CEO of KEDA, Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni appreciated the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello to strategically reposition the MSE sector for improved productivity. She further stated that the project is in tandem with the cardinal objectives of the current administration.
Hajiya Rekiya also noted that the distribution of these tools will enhance the productivity and growth of MSEs in the state.
The MD expressed her optimism that the distribution of these business tools will have a significant impact on the MSEs in Kogi State and will help them bounce back from the setbacks suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She explained that the World Bank facilitated KG-CARES programme is committed to empowering and supporting businesses in Kogi State through the provision of effective solutions to mitigate the negative impacts of the pandemic.
She further reiterated that KEDA is committed to the growth and development of MSEs in Kogi State, adding that “this distribution of business tools is just one of the many steps taken to support businesses in the State.”
She urged beneficiaries to make good use of the tools and to ensure they make significant progress in their businesses while she called on all stakeholders to support the KG-CARES program and other initiatives aimed at boosting the growth and development of businesses in Kogi State.
The distribution of these tools will take place on the 25th of September by 11 a.m prompt at the Glass House, Government House, Lokoja, Kogi State.
The event will be attended by various stakeholders in business development, past beneficiaries including representatives from various MSEs in the state. Some of the tools that will be distributed include mobile tablets, printers, projectors, Personal Computers, Desktop, UPS, Point of Sale machines, Wi-Fi devices.
