Governor Muhammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has called on road users in the state to show understanding and cooperate with the state government,assuring them that government had given thought to rehabilitation of a failed section of the Minna-Bida road.
The governor gave the advice in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim and made available to newsmen in Minna on Sunday
Bago explained that the rehabilitation work became necessary as a proactive step towards avoiding the yearly collapsing of multiple cell culverts on the road, especially during the rainy season.
He said the six hours of rehabilitation work would commence from 12 p.m to 6 p.m on the 18th of July, 2023.
He assured the citizens of the state of his commitment to infrastructural development in the state.
The Governor urged commuters to use alternative routes which include the Bida-Zungeru-Minna road and Bida-Lapai-Minna road as well as Bisanti/Lemu/Bida road while the rehabilitation work lasts.
He assured of his administration’s to develop the state in order to improve on the welfare of the people of the state. With agency report.
