PDP embarks on house to house Campaign in Kogi— Ex-Spokesman

The National body of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, has directed its members in Kogi state to embark on house to house campaign in order to galvanise votes to ensure landslide victory in the general elections this year as Nigerians warm to elect the set of new leaders for the next political dispensation that will begin May 29,2023.

The immediate past State Publicity Secretary of the party,Mr Bode Ogunmola, made the disclosure recently while chatting with Journalists in Lokoja where he formally informed of his intention to contest the State House Assembly to represent Ogorimagongo Constituency.

According to him, tone of the forthcoming general electíons in the state would be different from the previous exercises.

He said that now that the people of the state had tasted governnent of two different political parties, they now better which party has the capability to fulfill their yearnings aspirations which he stressed, PDP would do comfortably.

Ogunmola, who is former Vice Chairman, Ogorimagongo Local Governnent Area of the state, decried the high rate of graduate unemployment in his constituency, a development he noted sort of compounding criminal activities in the area.

He promised that if elected,youth employment would be his priority, adding that besides reducing antisocial activities, parents would also have a sense of fulfilment that their financial commitment for the education of their had not been in vain.

The candidate also assured his constituents that,if the mandate to represent such trust would enhance his legislative and political position to penetrate areas of job opportunities for the advantage of the youths of the Constituency.

He added that he would use his privilege to ensure quality representation and contribute to legislations that would reduce crime, improve agriculture and boost the social and economic development of the Constituency.

He expressed delight over the large members of the party that turned in Lokoja to welcome the presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his entourage, noting the event was a practical indication the party, comparatively, enjoyed the trust and mandate of the people of the state and Nigerians at large.

In his comments, Chief Bola Boro, a political ally of the candidate and a community leader in Ogori,described Ogunmola as a politician with genuine intention to serve his people,armed with tested pedigree and adequate political experience.
