Articulated Autocrash in kogi: 2 persons, many animals feared dead

Two persons and many cows have lost their lives, following an articulated accident that occurred at about 2 p.m on Saturday in Magongo in Ogori/Magongo Local Governnent Area, Central Senatorial district of kogi state.

An eyewitness,Mr Jordan Akpata,who spoke with our Correspondent in a telephone interview from Magongo, said the lone autocrash happened at the last corner before entering Magongo town.

Akpata, who said the the articulated vehicle coming from Katsina enroute Lagos and loaded with cows and human beings, attributed the accident to carelessness on the part of the driver, adding that the spot also recorded accident last week, though no loss of life.

According to him, the dead humans and the injured had been conveyed to the nearby hospital by the personnel of the Nigeria Police and the Federal Road Safety Corps,FRSC.

He added that efforts were also being made to evaluate dead cows and the injured animals as at the time of this report by 3.25 p.m.
