The scarcity of fuel, running to a month now, heightened on Sunday in Lokoja, Kogi state with a litre of the product sold for N500 at the black market.

Our Correspondent further reports that as at the time this report was published at about 8:45 a m, none of the conventional filling stations visited had fuel for sale to the public.

Many of commercial drives that spoke with our Correspondent, reiterated their call on the federal government to find timely and lasting solution to the problem before the December festivities take place.

Some of passengers, who also spoke with our Correspondent in separate interview at Ganaja junction motor garage, Lokoja, said they now travel with “tear” under the yoke of astronomical increase in transport fare, due to fuel scarcity.
