From Willy Punvwet Lafia.

A Traditional ruler in Nasarawa state, the Oriye Rindre Alhaji Musa Lawal Nagogo, has assured Governor Abdullahi Sule of his people’s total support for his second term bid.

Receiving the governor and his campaign team in his palace in Wamba on Friday, the royal father said that the people of the state would be doing a great disservice to the governor if they abandoned him in his quest to serve the state for a second term after he had done so much for them.

According to the Oriye Rindre, what the people of the state are now waiting for is the second swearing in ceremony of the governor, adding that the election has already been won and lost.

Alhaji Nagogo, who later honoured the governor with a traditional title of Dokaji Wamba, which is the earlier title of the Governor’s late friend as well as his special Adviser on special duties, Alhaji Murtala Lamus, encouraged the governor to always seek the blessings of parents while going out for campaign, saying that parental blessings are are of immense reward.

He assured that governor that as soon as he is prepared and ready the doors of the palace would be thrown opened for him to come for the turbanning ceremony.

Earlier, governor Sule expressed profound gratitude to the traditional ruler for granting permission for the use of his palace for the conduct of free medical treatment which he said, formed cardinal point of his campaign tour of the state.

He said since the start of his campaign, the free medical team had been with the people of the area, explaining that the gesture was aimed at assisting the less privileged in the society who could not afford the huge hospital bills in the hospitals.

Engineer Sule thanked the Oriye Rindre for the honor and the traditional title.

He said he felt strengthened with the assurance of the total support for his second term bid by the traditional ruler and promised to reciprocate the kind gesture.
