The chief imam preaching to muslim faithful at Jumat mosque.
Muslim faithfuk have been called upon to shun injustice and discrimination to boost religious harmony with mutual respect and the development of the country.
The Chief Imam,Kogi State Polytechnic Central Mosque Lokoja, Alhaji Usman Abdulazeez, made the call during his sermon at the jumat prayer at the mosque.
He reminded the Muslims that Islam does not discriminate and hates injustice of any kind, adding that the faithful must follow the vlinjunction of their religion with sincere prayerful for the sake of the judgement day.
According to the religious leader, muslim must also be conscious of the need to read the Holy qouran and get closer to Almighty Allah to guide them in their relationship with other members of the society, to ensure co-existence and positive development.
He said Muslims could kill accepted animals such as cow,goat,sheep and carmel of between 2 years and seven years for the forthcoming muslim festival (eld-adha), stressing however that the killing must follow the injunctions of Islam which detest cruelty in the killing of the animals in mentioned.
