The Reporters recalls that Mrs Obahopo was among the occupants of a bus belonging to the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union Journalists ( NUJ), Kogi state Council, conveying them to Benin for wedding when the accident happened.

The Correspondent said:”On Sunday, November 14, 2021,I came to you pleading for help.I sought your assistance for my wife who needed a total of N3,580,000 for surgery, following an accident she was involved in 10 days earlier and you responded. Within 72 hours the money was completed.

“I am glad to announce that the surgery was SUCCESSFUL and she’s out of ICU already.”

The husband thanked the Governor of the state,Alhaji Yahaya Bello, who donated N2.5 million of the amount needed for the surgery and more than 125 other donors and those who offered prayers towards the success of the surgery.

“Here is big THANKS to you all! “For those who shared the message on Facebook or other platforms, we say THANK YOU!

“From the ‘widow’s mite’ of N500 to the highest donation of N2.5million from the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, we take none for granted…You all made it happened.

“Please don’t stop praying, as in couple of days, the Physiotherapy will commence and that is the point we are trusting God that she will regain her leg,”he added.

“May we not repay each other with this type of kindness.May God bless you and grant you favour in all your ways,” he prayed.
