Emulate late Justice Moses Bello’s virtues- Gov.Bello urges

The Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has described the pioneer President Customary Court of Appeal FCT Judiciary, late Justice Moses Bello, as a worthy son of Ebiraland and the state whose exemplary life was worthy of emulation.

 

He stated this at the funeral mass and tributes for the late erudite jurist at the Christ the King Church, Okene on Saturday.

The Governor commended Justice Bello for his religious, cultural and political tolerance and standing for the truth and uprightness during his life.

He added that these enviable virtues exibited by the deceased should be a great lesson to others to learn, especially politicians,to ensure peace and developmnt in the society.

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland,Dr Ado Ibrahim, represented by the Oyarazi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Isa Mamman, also expressed condolence over the demise of Justice and commended him for making great impact in the life of many people in the land.

Earlier in his sermon at the occasion,Rev.Fr.Emmuel Otonoki, called on Christians to see funeral as a challenge to reflect on their life, relationship with God and man,as away preparing of seeking kingdom of God.

He described Justice Bello as a good christian, always ready to help people, especially the vulnerable,to make life meaningful for them and and above all, a lover of mankind in all his deeds on earth.

According to him, the illustrious acts of the deceased could be felt in his tremendous assistance to all that came across him: socially, economically, politically, culturally, coupled with his peaceful disposition prompted large crowd of people that attended to witness his funeral.

The Reporters reports that the family of the deceased, religious leaders, judiciary officials in Kogi state and Abuja, traditional rulers, National Assembly among others, also attended the occasion.

The remains of Justice Bello,who died during an illness at the age of 68,were later committed to mother earth, followed by reception at Ado Ibrahim Civic Centre,Okene.
