National Association of Ekiti-Kwara students (NAEKS) has condemned the murder of one of its own, Olajide Blessing Omowunmi, a 300 level student of Agricultural Science Department, University Of Ilorin, who was raped and killed in her hostel off-campus in Tanke, Ilorin Kwara State by yet to be identified killers.
This is contained in a statement signed by the National President of NAEKS, Roseline O.Oyedele and made available to Journalists in Ilorin on Friday.
Oyedele said:” While the yet to be known perpetrator(s) of this evil left on her innocently lifeless body a note with the inscription “NO FORGIVENESS IN ILORIN UNIVERSITY”,we call all the security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police to launch a man hunt after this(es) rampaging zombie(s).
“This is an occurrence too many in this nation and indeed a crime against humanity.
The association also called on the Vice Chancellor University of Ilorin, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem, the Governor of Kara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, a true ardent of girl-child rights and protection to ensure the arrest of the perpertrators of the henious crime, to enable them face Justice.
The Reporters recalls that would be the Police Command in Kwara state had confirmed the suspected rape and murder of a Olajide Omowumi Blessing,in her residence located at Tanke area of the Ilorin metropolis.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command,SP. Okasanmi Ajayi, said the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bagega, had directed immediate investigation into the case and arrest of the attackers for them to face Justice.
