The Conversation is now about Mr Godwin Ezeemo, a foremost Industrialist and Social entrepreneur who is currently making headlines as the frontline aspirant in the upcoming Anambra Governorship primary election, under the umbrella of PDP.
In all ramifications, it is worthy and fulfilling to acknowledge the great milestone of the impact this renown developer has recorded across many communities in Anambra State.
And should therefore be commemorated with pomp and wide ranging jubilations. The reasons are instructive.
Ezeemo’s decades stint in Agricbusiness, ICT, Communication, oil and gas, hospitality etc has been trailed by amazing footprints and profound legacies which have largely boosted major communities and groomed state national development frontiers and hugely beneficial to humanity.
Unlike many politicians of our time, Ezeemo exudes uncommon attributes, including visionary leadership, character, honesty, discipline and forthrightness which are inextricably linked to his vast but rare accomplishments as a human capital developer.
These values manifested, fundamentally, across many sectors and Communities and villages in Anambra and beyond.
In view of his slogan “Anambra Can Ba Better” would be driven home through proficient application of his well articulated Vision infused with desirable discipline and dedication that will resonate the state on transformation and revitalisation trajectories within a short time.
Ezeemo’s unassailable excellent record in Anambra State,has resulted essentially from the efficient, accountable, transparent and participatory fashion he ran his group of companies, tinged with visionary leadership dexterity.
It’s strongly believed that Ezeemo’s leadership skills have close similarities with those of the globally acclaimed visionary leaders such as Deng Xiaoping, former Chinese President who in 1980s took the country through market-driven economic reforms that transformed it’s economy to be second to none on the global economic curve.
There is also former United States President, Bill Clinton, who inherited a disoriented economy from George Bush Senior and was able to turn it around within a short time frame, through pragmatic visionary leadership inputs and realistic reforms.
Akin to Clinton, Ezeemo will likely take over a state that is near into economic ruins with deplorable infrastructural base.
As a visionary leader, Ezeemo will at inception of his government defined his vision and mission for the state. His vision, although ambitious, is to enthrone strategic reforms capable of making Anambra one of the top three most developed state economies in Nigeria by 2025 and to rank within Africa’s top 10 economies by 2030
His mission is clear, laudable and feasible: “To rebuild, reposition and transform Anambra into a modern ecosystem for education, agriculture, industry, tourism, culture, sports, human capital development, science and technology”. He will set the enumerated sectors on a veritable path of recovery, he will surely transformed many of them
Specifically, verifiable and incontrovertible instances suffice here. Ezeemo’s administration will mobilize the reconstruction and rehabilitation of 25 intra and inter city roads concurrently, including major roads in order to grapple with gross infrastructural decay in the state. He will restore our Water Scheme that left our taps dry for many years.
Under his watch, Anambra security architecture will be reinforced by establishing a joint task force code.
On agriculture, smart agricultural development will be facilitated through the launching of sustainable agro roadmap, rehabilitation and equipping of technical colleges and set up visitation panels to identify the challenges of the schools in Anambra towards improving the standard of education at that level.
Ezeemo’s government will launch health insurance scheme, anti-retroviral therapy and establish Health Insurance Agency to liberalise and reduce the cost of health services.
On labour, the diginity of labour and the welfare of pensioners will be well attended to. Workers’ salary payment structure will be standard.
The outcome of these measures will be fascinating and far-reaching. The Internally Generated Revenue will climb up.
These are just a tip of an iceberg as there were several other inimitable plans Ezeemo is bringing on board, if given the mandate to become the governor of Anambra state in the next political dispensation
His vision is so practical, profound, result-oriented and therefore infectious, that the successive government will be struggling to imitate.
