The Yeye Orisa Obatala of Kogi State and Woman leader of Okunland, Chief Mrs Blessing Agbaje, has once again appealed to the people of Okunland to devoid themselves of politics of bitterness mounted on Senator Smart Adeyemi representing the Kogi West Senatorial District of the State.

Chief Agbaje expressed the displeasure in a statement, a copy of which was made available to The Reporters, an online media outfit in Lokoja on Wednesday.

She noted that the “mud sludging” of person of Senator Smart Adeyemi was being championed by those she described as ‘ enemies of progress,’ in Kogi West.

“How can brothers be so much enduring in blackmailing, it has become a trade in Okunland politics,”the traditional title holder said.

The Yeye Orisa Obatala, who said some people claimed that Senator Smart Adeyemi was sharing out cars at his daughter’s wedding in another State”, described the insinuation a blatant lie, targeted to ridicule the personality of the Senator.

The woman leader said that the “Pull Him Down”(PHD) syndrome wouldd not help the development of the area, warning the people concerned to avert the wrath of the gods by shunning such attitude.

She described the relationship between Senator Smart Adeyemi and the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as healthy for the development of the Kogi West now and in future.

The Yeye Orisa Obatala enjoined politicians in the District to play the game of politics right by showing understanding with the Senator, to enhance the human and physical development of the District.

She also urged for common dream for the district, saying that Senator Smart Adeyemi was a gift that must be supported to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
