Shooting in Lokoja, journalist hospitalised

The Kogi State Correspondent of The Sun news paper, Mr Emmanuel Adeyemi is now battling for his life in one of the hospitals in Lokoja, following a gun injury he sustained during the sporadic shooting in Lokoja on Monday.

Our correspondent gathered that Adeyemi was on his way to the Secretariat of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ Press Centre,from his house when he was shot.

Reacting to the development,the Police Public Relations Officer, for the Police Command for the state, DSP William Aya, said that the gunshots were from some people scaring others to enable them have free access to loot.
