Former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello CON, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Hajia Hanatu Jibrin Momoh, wife of his former Acountant General, Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, describing her passing as a great loss.

Bello, who attended the Janaza prayer held at the National Mosque Abuja and the burial at Gudu Cemetery on Thursday, described the deceased as a virtuous, humble and dedicated woman whose life was devoted to humanity and the service of Allah.

He said Hajia Hanatu Jibrin Momoh was known for her compassion, generosity and strong faith, noting that her exemplary life left a lasting impact on all who encountered her.

Condoling with Alhaji Jibrin Momoh and the bereaved family, Bello prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul, asking Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firdaus, while also praying for strength and fortitude for the family to bear the irreparable loss.

The burial of the late Hajia Hanatu Jibrin Momoh drew a large gathering of family members, friends, political associates and sympathizers.

Among those in attendance were Senator Jibrin Isah, Senator Sunday Karimi, Senator Abubakar Ohere, members of the House of Representatives representing Idah, Lokoja/Kogi (Koton Karfe) and Okehi/Adavi Federal Constituencies, as well as members of the Kogi State House of Assembly.

Also present was Hon Ali Bello, Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, alongside other members of the State Executive Council.

The large turnout reflected the high regard in which the deceased was held and the widespread sympathy extended to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
