The Onu Igala of Lokoja Community, Chief Joseph Akpah, has extended warm Christmas felicitations to Christians in Kogi State and beyond, calling for love, unity and peaceful celebrations across communities.
In a goodwill message to mark the Yuletide, Chief Akpah paid glowing homage to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Alaji Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, the Attah Igala and paramount ruler of the Igala Kingdom, describing the revered monarch as a symbol of unity, cultural pride and enduring leadership.
The Onu Igala also congratulated Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and conveyed goodwill to members of the State Executive Council, political appointees, traditional institutions, the Onu Igala 36 States and FCT, as well as the entire people of the state.
“As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, may His timeless message of peace, compassion and hope continue to guide our homes, our communities and our dear state. “I pray for a safe and joyous celebration for all, and for sustained progress, harmony and prosperity in Kogi State and our beloved country,”Chief Akpah said.
He urged citizens to embrace the spirit of charity by reaching out to the less privileged, while advocating sustained interfaith, respect, communal solidarity and peaceful coexistence as the state looks forward to a prosperous New Year.
Chief Akpah reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote unity, cultural heritage and development, stressing that collective goodwill remains the bedrock of lasting peace and progress.
