Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians across the state, describing the celebration of the Nativity as a profound reminder of selfless love, humility and dedicated service to humanity.
In a goodwill message issued through his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah, the Governor reflected on the deep spiritual significance of Christmas, noting that the birth of Jesus Christ calls on believers to embrace patience, forbearance, goodwill and other virtues that foster harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Governor Ododo said the enduring lessons of Christmas are critical to the growth and stability of Kogi State, urging citizens to uphold the spirit of brotherhood, restraint and collective responsibility as essential pillars for sustainable peace and development.
He noted that his administration remains firmly guided by these timeless values in the pursuit of good governance, maintenance of public order and the steady advancement of the state through inclusive, people-oriented policies.
The Governor further reassured residents that the security and welfare of the people remain top priorities of his government, pledging continued efforts to protect lives and livelihoods across the state.
He prayed that the joy of Christmas would dwell in every home across Nigeria, renew hope in the hearts of the people and usher in a New Year filled with peace, hard work and shared prosperity.
