Tension in Magongo: Five Returning From Wedding Kidnapped Near Home

Five citizens of Magongo community in Ogori/Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State have been abducted by suspected kidnappers.

The National President of the Magongo Development Association (MDA), Prince Jordan Akpata, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Tuesday.

According to him, the victims were returning from a wedding ceremony in Jos, Plateau State, when they were kidnapped at 8 p.m on Monday ,just a few kilometres from Magongo.

Prince Akpata appealed to the Kogi State Government and security agencies to urgently intervene and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted citizens and douse the tension created by the sad development.
