In a remarkable show of community spirit and commitment to grassroots development, Engineer Joachim Daudu has empowered commercial motorcycle operators (popularly known as okada riders) in Magongo, Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Our correspondent reports that the empowerment initiative, which was carried out on behalf of Engineer Daudu by Mr. David Ojule, popularly known as Fire Fire, was aimed at supporting the riders to repair their motorcycles, replace broken parts, and sustain their daily means of livelihood.

Engineer Daudu, a proud son of the soil and well-known philanthropist, has over the years demonstrated deep commitment to both human and physical development projects in Magongo. His latest gesture is seen as part of his broader effort to promote economic self-reliance and social progress within the community.

Speaking during the event, the National President of the Magongo Development Association (MDA),Prince Jordan Akpata, commended Engineer Daudu for his consistent contributions and unwavering support towards the growth and development of Magongo.

He noted that such empowerment schemes not only uplift individuals but also stimulate local economic activities and strengthen social bonds.

In a heartfelt response, one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Augustine Nicholas, who spoke on behalf of other okada riders, expressed appreciation to Engineer Daudu for his generosity and love for the people.

He prayed for God’s blessings upon him and his family and pledged that the beneficiaries would use the financial support judiciously to improve their trade and better their livelihoods.

The empowerment programme has been widely applauded across Magongo as a practical demonstration of community-driven development, underscoring the power of individual commitment to social and economic transformation at the grassroots.
