Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, family, and friends, today my heart overflows with gratitude and pride as I celebrate my beloved daughter, Hafeeza Ande Nene Bashir, on her Call to Bar.
From the very moment she came into my life, everything changed. The world seemed brighter, softer, and full of promise. Watching her grow,just like her siblings,has been one of my life’s greatest privileges. Every stage of her journey, every step she took, was marked by curiosity, courage, and a vibrant spirit that inspired everyone around her.
From her first day at school to her last examination in Law School, Hafeeza has shown a resilience that words can hardly capture. Her path was not always easy, but she never gave up. Through long hours of study, through challenges that tested her strength, she held fast to her dream. Today, that dream has become a reality.
But what I celebrate most is not only her academic success,it is the heart behind it. Hafeeza has a spirit that makes people better simply by being herself. It is not just her smile, though that brightens every room. It is her generosity, her guarded ways, her ability to bring laughter and music into the quiet, and warmth into the coldest days. She has taught me about bravery, joy that does not need a reason, and about finding beauty in places others might overlook.
Today, I stand here thrilled to witness her achieve this milestone. My daughter, you dared to dream, and you worked with discipline and passion to achieve it. You inspire not just me but everyone who knows your story.
