The palace of the Magari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, Maikarfi IV, was transformed into a beehive of royal splendour on Saturday as dignitaries and well-wishers gathered for the 2025 Lokoja Turbanning Ceremony.

The event was marked by rich cultural displays, traditional rites, and the conferment of prestigious titles on distinguished sons and daughters of Lokoja.

Among the honourees was Engr. Mohammed Sagir, Chairman of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association, Kogi State Branch, who was decorated with the title of Tafarki Lokoja (Mouthpiece of Lokoja).

The recognition underscored his contributions to the development of the community and his role as a worthy ambassador of Lokoja.
