The Chief Judge of Kogi State, Justice Josiah J. Majebi, has sought for reinforce collaboration between the judiciary and the police.forJustice Delivery.
He stated this on Friday when he paid a courtesy visit on the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, on Friday at the State Command Headquarters in Lokoja.
The Chief judge said the collaboration is also imperative to strengthen institutional synergy for enhanced criminal justice delivery across the State, assuring that this can be done through strategic discussions, and reaffirmation of inter-agency cooperation among others.
Justice Majebi commended the ,Police Commissioner for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to peace and order in Kogi and described his administration as one characterized by professionalism, discipline, and strategic leadership, which he noted has visibly impacted security across the state.
The Chief Judge also praised the Command’s management team for their unity and support to the CP, noting that such teamwork is key to operational success.and gave special recognition to police officers attached to the judiciary for their professionalism, respect for the rule of law, and ethical conduct.
Responding, CP Dantawaye described the visit as symbolic and strategic,emphasizing the importance of sustained synergy between the police and judiciary for the effective administration of justice.
According to him, the long-standing partnership between the police and the judiciary has contributed significantly to crime control and the rule of law in the state.
The CP reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining and strengthening the existing police cooperation with the judiciary, stating that such collaboration is vital for serving the people of Kogi State better.
