A Non-Governmental Organisation, USLACC Africa, is set to unveil a transformative $100 billion endowment campaign aimed at empowering 50 million African youths through technology and entrepreneurship.
According to a statement jointly signed by Sir Mike Okiro, Chairman and former Inspector General of Police, and Ambassador Ifeoma Mary Ejiogu, USLACC Africa Representative, the launch event is scheduled for July 8, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria.
Okiro and other singnatories to the development said that the campaign seeks to equip African youths with technological and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to transition from consumers to producers, inventors, manufacturers, and solution-driven thinkers.
“This initiative is a direct response to economic instability and youth unemployment, and represents a long-term investment in sustainable development and poverty eradication,” they added.
Key areas of focus, according to them include technology, vocational training, youth project financing, scholarships, and international internship opportunities.
“Our mission is to prepare African youths for leadership and active participation in nation-building through access to innovation, skill development, and global opportunities,” the signatories said.
Tagged Africa on the Wings of Economic Acceleration and Growth, the campaign carries the theme: Stimulating Sustainable Investment to Turn Africa into Industrial Hubs.
