The Special Adviser on Media to the Kogi State Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, has offered employment to Miss Tosin Toluwaloju, an outgoing National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who served in his office.

He made the announcement during a send-forth ceremony held on Wednesday at the Media Centre, Government House, Lokoja in honor of Miss Toluwaloju.

Isah praised Miss Toluwaloju for her exceptional growth, dedication, eagerness to learn, and consistent support throughout her service year.

He highlighted her professionalism and creativity as a presenter on Lugard TV as key reasons for retaining her.

“Lugard TV, an initiative under the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor, is committed to nurturing individual growth and development. It serves as a platform for youth empowerment, in line with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s vision to invest in the potential of young people,” Isah said.

He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to continued collaboration with the NYSC, emphasizing the importance of retaining talented corps members to build a vibrant and innovative media landscape in Kogi State.

Speaking earlier at the event, the NYSC Local Government Inspector, Mr. Ezekiel Otohinoyi, commended Hon. Isah for his consistent support for corps members. He recalled Isah’s own distinguished service year in Akwa Ibom State in 2005 and lauded the transformation he has brought to media practice in the state.

Mr. Otohinoyi described Miss Toluwaloju as resilient, hardworking, and exceptionally creative, adding that the office had become “a home away from home” for corps members.

In her remarks, Miss Toluwaloju expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Isah, whom she described as “a father figure who consistently encouraged me to excel.”

She said she was humbled by the opportunity to serve in Kogi State and pledged to build on the foundation laid during her NYSC year.

The event, attended by staff and management of Lugard TV, celebrated Miss Toluwaloju’s contributions and marked the beginning of what many described as a promising career in media.

Colleagues commended her professionalism, humanitarian spirit, and positive influence on the team.
