Dr. Ibrahim Goni, Conservator-General of the National Park Service (NPS), has commended Assistant Conservator-General (AC-G) Ahmed Abdullahi, who is retiring after 33 years of dedicated service to environmental conservation in Nigeria for his meritorious service to his father land.
Speaking at a formal pull-out ceremony in Abuja, Goni praised Abdullahi’s enduring contributions to the protection and preservation of the country’s natural ecosystems.
“Over the years, he has contributed immensely to the protection and preservation of Nigeria’s rich natural heritage, ensuring that future generations will continue to benefit from the beauty and biodiversity of our parks,” Goni said.
He described Abdullahi not only as a seasoned professional but also as a mentor and an inspirational figure within the service.
“His wisdom, dedication, and tireless service have left an indelible mark on the National Park Service, and his legacy will undoubtedly endure,” the Conservator-General added.
Goni noted that Abdullahi’s steady rise through the ranks to the position of AC-G reflected his unwavering commitment, expertise, and leadership in the field of conservation.
In his response, Abdullahi expressed gratitude and fulfillment for having served the nation’s conservation sector for over three decades.
“It has been an honor to contribute to safeguarding our environmental heritage for future generations,” he said.
