A total of 1,166 corps members currently serving in Kogi State are to receive financial support of N20,000 each from the state government.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo announced this in a message delivered at the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I Orientation Course held at the NYSC Camp in Asaya, Kabba.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu, said the cash support is intended to ease the corps members’ movement to their various places of primary assignment, emphasized his administration’s commitment to youth development and welfare.

Governor Ododo assured the corps members of their safety throughout their service year in the state and pledged to reward those who demonstrate dedication, honesty, and diligence in their assignments.

He urged the corps members to collaborate with their host communities to contribute meaningfully to Kogi State’s development.

The governor commended the NYSC State Coordinator, military personnel, and other security agencies for their roles in the smooth conduct of the orientation programme.

Here is a revised version of the sentence for improved clarity and flow:

In his speech, the Kogi State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mr. Femi Osungbohun, described the contributions of the Kogi State Government to the growth and development of the NYSC in the state as impressive, nothing
that the office is pleased with the current administration.

Some of the corps members, who spoke with journalists, expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo for his fatherly support.
