Kogi Poly Rector Hails Deputy Speaker Egwaba on Coronation as “Iganya Ata-Igala”

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has congratulated the Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Comfort Nwuchiola Egwaba, on her coronation as “Iganya” by His Royal Majesty, Alaji Mathew Opaluwa Oguche, the Ata-Igala.

In a congratulatory message signed by Uredo Omale, Head of Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic on Saturday, and a copy made available to The Reporters,Professor Usman described the coronation as a rare and prestigious honour.

He noted that the title is not only a recognition of Rt. Hon. Egwaba’s dedication to public service and leadership, but also a reflection of her integrity, cultural relevance, and unwavering commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of the Igala Kingdom.

Professor Usman further stated that the conferment of the title “Iganya Ata-Igala”, symbolizes her growing influence both in politics and within the traditional and cultural heritage of the Igala people.

He expressed confidence that the Deputy Speaker will continue to promote inclusivity and socio-cultural harmony while upholding the dignity of the traditional institution and the values it stands for.

“Professor Usman is proud of her achievements and celebrates this remarkable milestone with her. It is his hope that the coronation marks the beginning of even greater accomplishments in her service to humanity.

“Once again, accept the heartfelt congratulations of Kogi State Polytechnic and the personal best wishes of the Rector as you carry this new responsibility with grace and honour,”the statement read.
