ABU Alumni Kogi Chapter to Celebrate Members Serving in Ododo Administration

The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Kogi State Branch, has commenced preparations to honor its members elected or appointed to key political positions under the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The chairman of the branch,Engr.Muhamned Sagir,disclosed this in Lokoja on Sunday when he held a meeting with the executive members of the branch of the association.

According to him,the recognition is aimed at celebrating excellence, inspire public service, and foster a culture of integrity and leadership among its members.

He added that the upcoming event is also expected to strengthen the network of ABU alumni in governance and reinforce their commitment to the development of Kogi State.

He further disclosed that the Exco has commenced financial and logistic arrangements for the success of the event scheduled for July,2025 in Lokoja.

“This is not just a celebration, but a call to purposeful leadership and accountability”,Sagir remarked.

The chairman announced May 8, 2025, as the date for the association’s monthly meeting at the NBA Secretariat, Lokoja.

He urged members to attend in large numbers to contribute fresh ideas toward the success of the planned award night and other upcoming activities.

Our correspondent reports that the Secretary General (Worldwide) of the association, Dr. Danjuma Mahmud, along with the branch Financial Secretary, Fatima, and the branch Publicity Secretary, Alhaji D.U. Ahmed, also attended the meeting.
