The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched a manhunt for a mystery woman after the body of the former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Shikfu Parradang, was discovered in a hotel in Abuja under suspicious circumstances.

Parradang, who had retired from his role as Comptroller General, was found dead on March 4, 2025, in a hotel room in the Garki area of Abuja.

Authorities say Parradang had checked into the hotel on March 3, arriving around 12:00 PM with a female guest, adding that the woman left the premises by 4:00 PM the same day.

It was only hours later, after Parradang failed to respond to repeated calls, that a concerned military officer, a close friend of the deceased, visited the hotel in the early hours of March 4. Upon entering Parradang’s hotel room at approximately 4:00 AM, the officer and hotel staff discovered the former Immigration boss dead, slumped in a chair.

The police were swiftly alerted, and officers from Durumi Police Station secured the scene, taking photographs and collecting vital evidence.

The body has since been transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja for an autopsy as investigators attempt to piece together the events leading to his death.

Police authorities said they are focusing their efforts on tracking down the woman who accompanied Parradang to the hotel, as she is believed to be a key figure in the investigation.

A spokesperson for the FCT Police Command,SP Josephine Adeh, urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified rumors, particularly claims of abduction or foul play that could provoke unnecessary panic.

“We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of death and bring those responsible to justice,” she promised.

The death of Parradang, who had a distinguished career in the Nigerian Immigration Service, has left many shocked, with speculation growing over the identity of the mysterious woman and the true circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.

Authorities have appealed for any information that may help locate the woman, as they continue to explore all leads in the case.
