In a political landscape where local governance often struggles to leave a lasting impact, one man has risen above expectations, showcasing what true leadership can accomplish. Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu Dullar, an Egbira son from Obehira, is making waves as the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government in Lagos, Nigeria.

Feelers from the local council indicate that Duller’s administration is redefining what local government leadership should look like, as he continues to usher in transformative changes that many would expect from a state governor, not a local chairman.

Since assuming office, Hon. Dullar has prioritized infrastructure, social development, and public welfare, resulting in tangible and life-changing improvements for the people of Somolu.

Under his visionary leadership, the local government has witnessed the construction of over 70 roads, complete with interlocking stones and solar-powered streetlights, revolutionizing the area’s transport and power infrastructure.

Hon. Dullar’s focus on safety and modernity is evident in his commissioning of a state-of-the-art fire service station and a newly built police station—steps that prioritize the security of Somolu residents.

He has also invested heavily in healthcare and education, with the establishment of new school buildings and enhanced healthcare facilities, ensuring that the people of Somolu have access to quality services that improve their quality of life.

But Hon. Dullar’s vision doesn’t stop at physical infrastructure.

He has introduced inclusive programmes for the people with disabilities, making the local government more accessible to all its residents.

His economic empowerment schemes are opening doors for countless individuals, especially those from marginalized communities, and empowering them to achieve financial independence.

Staff of the council and political analysts believe that Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu Dullar’s administration is an epitome of impactful leadership that breaks away from the norm.

He is not only transforming Somolu but has set a benchmark for what effective governance can achieve at the local level.

His leadership continues to inspire, and his efforts are earning him deserved recognition, as he remains a symbol of dedication, innovation, and progress in Nigerian politics.
