Some players and officials of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Football Club were injured in a car crash on Monday along the Ogbomoso-Ilorin Expressway. The incident occurred as the team was returning to Ilorin after a Nigeria National League (NNL) match against Sporting Lagos.

According to the club’s Media Director, Tosh Michaels, the bus driver and a front-seat passenger suffered the most serious injuries, though fortunately, no lives were lost.

The Kwara United Football Club Chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, expressed shock and sympathy, following the incident.

Through the club’s General Manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy, he offered his prayers for the victims’ recovery and safety in future travels.

ABS FC, based in Ilorin, is currently participating in the 2024/25 Nigeria National League season.
