Members of Okengwe Development Association, ODA,have felicitated with the Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on the auspicious occasion of his one-year in office.
In a good will message signed by the President General of ODA,HON Sanni Emmanuel Azika in Lokoja on Sunday and a copy available to The Reporters on Monday, ODA acknowledged Ododo’s numerous remarkable achievements.
These achievements,the association noted,have rekindled hopes and aspirations of kogites, based on the completion of projects he met on ground, alongside the ones being initiated by him
ODA enumerated the achievements of Governor Ododo within one year in office to include the involvement of women and youths in government; more infrastructural development; provision of quality education and health-care delivery; improvement on security measures to guarantee safety.
Others, the President General added, are accelerating agricultural development; spade work on industrial revolution in Kogi State by giving the desired support for the revitalisation of the Ajaokuta Steel Project by the Federal Government; the overhaul of the State Civil Service.
The association also commended the governor for the prompt payment of workers’ salaries and pension to the retirees and ardent support for the Local Government Administration in terms of the much needed autonomy amongst others.
The President General,who congratulated the governor,prayed to “The Good Lord” to give him the required wisdom to do more for Kogi State.
