The Tanke Division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, recently reinforced its commitment to community well-being by organizing a Medical Outreach, Security Summit, and Awards Night on December 20, 2024.
The event kicked off with a Medical Outreach designed to serve elderly residents of the Tanke community.
Free medical tests and consultations were provided, showcasing the Corps’ dedication to promoting health and addressing the medical needs of vulnerable groups.
This initiative emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups in preventing and managing illnesses, particularly for older adults.
Following the outreach, a Security Summit brought stakeholders together to discuss strategies for improving neighborhood safety.
The discussions focused on proactive measures and collaboration to tackle pressing security challenges, highlighting the vital link between community health and safety.
The event concluded with an Awards Night celebrating outstanding contributions by officers and stakeholders.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Kwara State Commandant, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, represented by Area Commander ACC Kehinde Adebayo, emphasized the importance of recognizing hard work.
“Motivating personnel through recognition inspires excellence and enhances service delivery,” he remarked.
Tanke Divisional Officer, SC Oyinloye Yinka, described the occasion as a platform to foster resilience, strengthen partnerships, and align efforts towards safeguarding lives and property.
The NSCDC Kwara State Command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining these initiatives in 2025, prioritizing the health and security of the communities it serves.
