Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a significant reduction in petrol prices, lowering the pump price to N899.50 per litre.
The move, disclosed in a statement on Thursday, is aimed at alleviating transportation costs for Nigerians during the holiday season.
The announcement, signed by Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, revealed that the refinery, which had previously dropped prices to N970 per litre on November 24, is now offering an additional incentive for consumers.
“To ease transport costs during the festive season, we are introducing a holiday discount on PMS.
” From today, petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.
“Additionally, for every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers can buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” Chiejina stated.
The company reaffirmed its commitment to providing Nigerians with high-quality, environmentally friendly fuel at competitive prices while addressing long-standing challenges in the petroleum sector.
Chiejina said that the refinery’s operations effectively end Nigeria’s reliance on substandard imported petroleum products, which have historically posed risks to health, machinery, and the environment.
With a refining capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the Dangote Refinery is the largest single-train refinery globally.
It is fully equipped to meet Nigeria’s refined petroleum needs while also enabling surplus exports.
As the festive season approaches, the refinery expressed its gratitude to Nigerians for their support and reiterated its focus on improving accessibility to premium petroleum products nationwide.
