New NUJ President Emerges

Alhassan Yahaya from Gombe State has been elected as the new President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ.

Alhassan defeated two other contestants during the 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference in Owerri, Imo State, on Wednesday night.

Alhassan Yahya polled 436 votes to defeat Dele Atunbi with 97 votes, while
Muhammed Garba got 39 votes.

Alhaji Momohjimoh Adeiza, the immediate past chairman of kogi state council of the Nigeria Union Journalists, NUJ, was elected unopposed as Vice President of the union(north central) among other officers.
