The Executive Council of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Alumni Association, Kogi State Branch, on Saturday, extended their condolences to one of their members, Ustaz Umar Uthman Ogbo, following the recent passing of his father.
The delegation, led by the association’s Vice Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Garba Bako, who represented the Chairman, Engr. Abdulsalam Muhammad Sagir, expressed heartfelt sympathy to Ogbo and his family.
In his condolence message, the Chairman commiserated with Ogbo and prayed for the peaceful repose of his late father.
He also conveyed the condolences of all association members, who joined in praying for God’s mercy on the deceased and his passage to paradise.
Ustaz Ogbo, in response, expressed his gratitude to the association, describing their visit as a pleasant surprise.
He said that the outpouring of prayers and condolences on the group’s platform brought,over his father’s death,him comfort during this difficult time in his family.
Reflecting on his father’s legacy, Ogbo described him as a “guiding light and pillar of strength” for the family, noting his exemplary character, contributions, and positive impact means much for the upbringing of the children with sound moral disposition in the society.
Ustaz Ogbo, the first child of his late father expressed pride in his father’s commitment to education, noting that nearly all the 25 of his father’s children received university education, courtesy of the deceased’s exemplary support.
Ogbo warmly thanked the delegation for their visit, offering prayers for the well-being and heart desires of all present.
