Governor Ododo Appoints Flood Response Team to Tackle Rising Water Levels in kogi.

The Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has established a Flood Response Team in response to increasing flood risks in the state.

The team is chaired by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu while Alhaji Mouktar Atimah, Executive Secretary, Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), serves Secretary.

Governor Ododo,who emphasized the importance of protecting lives and property of kogites,urged the team to minimize losses from flooding.

He tasked them to create a comprehensive strategy for flood preparedness, mitigation, and response, and pledged his full support for the success of the team.

The Chairman of the team commended the Governor’s dedication to the welfare of Kogi residents and promising to fulfill the team’s mandate efficiently.

Also responding, Alhaji Atimah expressed gratitude for the Governor’s confidence in the team and affirmed their commitment to effective flood management.
