The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is exhibiting locally developed technological products at the ongoing 19th Abuja International Trade Fair at the Abuja Trade and Convention Centre.

Chima Akwaja,Deputy Director, Information, disclosed this in a statement signed in Abuja on Wednesday and sent a copy to The Reporters in Lokoja on Thursday.

This year, NASENI’s participation aims to promote its 3C’s principle—Creation, Collaboration, and Commercialization—while highlighting its technological innovations to a global audience.

At the NASENI booth, all 12 of its Development Institutes are represented, including NASENI Solar Energy Ltd, showcasing a range of products such as the NASENI Transformer, CNG Conversion Centre, Solar CCTV, Automatic Change Over Switch, Solar Kit Trainer, Science kits, Rotary Furnace, Digital Roadsign, and an Animal Feeds machine, among others.

The Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu, represented by Mr. Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, Director of Information, New Media and Protocol, addressed attendees at NASENI Day.

He emphasized the agency’s commitment to demonstrating its products and technologies to support Nigeria’s economic transformation, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the agency’s Governing Board Chairman.

“The aim of this event is to promote NASENI technologies and research institutes nationwide, serving as a platform for global advertisement. This participation will enhance awareness of the NASENI brand and increase patronage,” he stated.

He highlighted past successes, noting that NASENI has previously secured awards and established connections with stakeholders and technology users, affirming its relevance at the trade fair.

NASENI is the only federal agency dedicated to research and development (R&D), production, reverse engineering, and manufacturing in capital goods, fostering home-grown capacities for genuine industrialization and sustainable development.

Under Mr. Halilu’s leadership, NASENI has focused on enhancing service delivery, accelerating technology transfer, and domesticating technologies, leading to an increased range of products and innovations for SMEs and end-users.

This year’s theme, “Mobility: Options for Transportation, Trade Finance and Transportation,” features over 500 exhibitors presenting more than 10,000 products, solutions, and services to an expected audience of over 100,000 participants.
