Commitment, Essential for Growth of ABU Alumni Association, kogi Branch,Chairman Says.

The Chairman of the ABU Alumni Association’s Kogi State branch, Engr. Abdulsalam Sagir, has called on members to demonstrate greater commitment to the association’s growth and development.
Speaking at a meeting of the branch in Lokoja, on Thursday,Sagir emphasized that while attendance numbers are important, the dedication and ideas of the members are what truly drive progress.

Despite a modest turnout, Sagir expressed gratitude to those who attended, acknowledging their efforts amidst busy schedules.

He lamented that, although there are many ABU alumni in the state, only a few show genuine commitment and passion for the association.

During the meeting, members resolved to form a three-member delegation to represent the branch at the AGA/Homecoming event in Zaria this August.

Additionally, a six-member committee will visit the Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in the near future.

“That the Association should organise dinner/ end of the year get- together for members.

“That the branch should raise the sum of ₦200,000 as requested by the National body of the Association towards the dinner and awards night scheduled to hold at Abuja in November, this year.

“That the branch should also raise the sum of ₦500,000 through request/ solicitation from high net-worth members of the Association as expected by the national body for the same Dinner and awards night,” according to statement by the Secretary of the branch,Mal.Yahaya Aminu Maihakuri.
