The Special Adviser to the Kogi State Governor on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka, has hailed the Supreme Court verdict affirming Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as the duly elected governor, calling it a divine endorsement.

In a statement made in Abuja shortly after the ruling and copied The Reporters in Lokoja on Saturday, Comrade Edoka described the decision as a significant victory for democracy that promises enhanced welfare for the workforce.

He noted that the governor’s journey from the tribunal to the Supreme Court has been marked by consistent victories, underscoring the divine nature of his ascension.

Comrade Edoka expressed confidence that the verdict positions Governor Ododo to effectively address governance issues for the benefit of the people.

He extended his congratulations to the Governor, his Deputy, Comrade Oyibo Joel,members of the Kogi State Executive Council, and the entire state populace.

He urged the people to offer their full support to the Governor to ensure his success.

Edoka expressed delight over the positive impact of the Governor’s decision to ensure full salary payments for local government workers, aligning their compensation with that of their state counterparts.

He also commended the Governor for his responsiveness to the salary upgrade appeals from local government union stakeholders and expressed gratitude for the positive outcome.

Comrade Edoka appealed to opposition members to set aside their differences and support Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration to accelerate the state’s development.
