Photospeak: Grand Finale of 2024 Press Week at Edge Drive Hotel,Lokoja on Aug 20,2024.

Members of the high table and kogi state journalists at the Grand Finale of 2024 Nigeria Union Journalists,NUJ, Kogi State Council Press Week/Investiture of the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as the Grand Patron of NUJ.
Prof.Olayemi Akinwumi,who delivered a paper at the occasion, called for responsible media reportage that promotes unity in diversity in all ramifications in the state.

He also called on journalists to help in the fight against social ills,ensure cohesiveness and promoting unity among the various ethnic groups in the state, in their reportage.

“We must learn from our different ethnicity and use it to unite ourselves. This is what I think the media in kogi state should continue to emphasize in their reportage,” the lecturer said.

Some important personalities whose benevolence have touched humanity and society received award at the occasion.

 

Ismaila Isa,the Special Adviser on Media to the governor represented his principal at the occasion

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo said he is very proud of of cooperation of Journalists, adding that in no time, he would address all the requests by made by NUJ.This support we have received from NUJ will not be taken for granted,”Ododo promised.

The governor’s aide said the investiture of his principal could not come at the occasion due to the pending supreme Court judgement, adding that it would be done in no distance future.

Ododo disclosed that his administration had effected 3,000 employment since he took over the mantle of leadership of the state among others.
