The Igala community in Agbarho, Warri, Delta State, is reeling from the brutal murder of Nasiru Eneojo, a young man who went missing on June 29, 2024. His body was later discovered with his head severed, a horrific act believed to be a human sacrifice.
Nasiru’s family and the entire community are demanding justice, calling on the authorities, especially the Inspector General of Police to conduct a thorough investigation and prosecute those responsible.
Mr. Abraham Thomas, the brother of the deceased, is also urging the Security Agency to uncover the truth behind this heinous act.
“Despite the police efforts, the case has been plagued by allegations of complicity and cover-up. The perpetrators, including a task force officer and community chiefs, have been identified, but the police seem reluctant to arrest them.
“We appeal to the Inspector General of Police, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, and the general public to closely monitor this situation and ensure justice is served. The perpetrators must be held accountable for this gruesome act.
“We demand justice for Nasiru Eneojo! Rest in peace, Nasiru Eneojo. Your memory will not be forgotten,” he said in a statement available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Friday.
