The new Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP.Nnaghe Itam, has ordered Area Commands and tactical Units in the command to reposition officers and men for improved and better security service delivery.

He gave the order in a statement signed by the command’s spokesperson,SP.Tochukwu Ikenga in Awka and made copy available to The Reporters on Tuesday.

Itam,who read riot act to the personnel of the command, when he addressed its strategic officers in Awka on Monday, stressed that law enforcement and better security service would be his priorities, adding that they should be more responsive and committed to duty.

He directed the creation of training office at the Area Command levels whereby those trained would in turn train and retrain serving officers who in the Police Divisions in areas of police duties, musketry, among others.

The new police boss in the state expressed the determination to work with other security agencies for a well-coordinated response to insecurity in the state.

The commissioner later paid visit to the supervisory Commander of the Zone, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Godwin Aghaulor in charge of Zone 13, Anambra and Enugu Commands.

He said the visit was to notify the AIG of his assumption of office and also to familiarise himself with senior officers of the Zone.
