The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has reiterated its commitment to provide efficient service and innovations within the areas under its jurisdiction.

Mrs. Busolami Tunwase, Lead, Media Relations, IBEDC, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Ota, Ogun state that the company would continue to ensure reliable power supply in its area of operations.

According to her, the IBEDC team are working tirelessly, using the highest standard of service and engagement, to ensure consistent and effective service delivery to customers.

“We have successfully maintained our Band A feeder status by ensuring compliance with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) regulations regarding hours of supply and the seven-day grace before a particular feeder is downgraded,” she said.

According to Tunwase, this has helped in providing customers in Band A with consistent and reliable power, underscoring our commitment to meeting and exceeding regulatory standards.

She also said that IBEDC had been recognised as the best Distribution Company (DISCO) in terms of community engagement and consistent service delivery to its customers.

“We believe in building strong relationships with the communities we serve, and this accolade is a testament to our proactive and inclusive approach to engaging with our stakeholders,” she noted.

She said that IBEDC was working on environmental sustainability initiatives in its efforts to contribute positively to the environment in the area of green projects, including a significant tree-planting campaign in some areas of coverage.

“These efforts not only enhance the ecological health of the communities, but also align with our sustainability goals to create a greener future.

“IBEDC has made substantial donations to several local charities, supporting a range of causes from education to health, and these initiatives are part of our broader commitment to social responsibility,” she said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
