Engage in charity for humanity, Allah’s blessing, others,cleric urges Muslims.

A cleric, Ustaz Mubarak Ahmed,has advised Muslims to always embark on sadaqah ( charity services), especially during Ramadan,to attract Allah’s blessing, put smile on the faces of the less privileged in the society,reduce poverty and for admission into aljanah (heaven) at the end of their life.

He gave the advice on Tuesday at NTA Mosque in Lokoja when he delivered the first in the series of Ramadan lectures, entitled,”Benefits of Sadaqah(charity ) in Ramadan.” to members of the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria,MMPN, Kogi State branch.

According to Ustaz Ahmed, charity in Islamic connotation means life investment in many ways with the return of manifold from Almighty Allah to whoever does that with sincerity of purpose and without the knowledge of others.

Ustaz Ahmed said:”There is a door of paradise that would always be opened for and entered by those who give sadaqah.
“Sadaqah extinguishes sins just as water extinguishes fire.
“Always do sadaqah, because Allah’s shade awaits those who give sadaqah while alive.

“The giver of Sadaqah is always the greatest beneficiary of such gesture but this must be done without consideration for differences in religion, ethnicity, colour and other divisive tendencies.”

He called on leaders, irrespective of religious inclinations, to establish endowment fund where they could reach out to the poor and needy in the society, assuring them that they would reap the reward of their labour in bountiful blessings from God.

In his remarks, the state coordinator of MMPN, Mal. Abdulsalam Mohammed, described Ramadan as virtuous month for the Muslims, adding it moves them closer to Almighty Allah and boost their prayer the removal of their sins and pave way for their entrance into aljanah.
Mohammed, who reminded members that Islam is away of life,urged them to always recite Suratul fatiha, assuring them that they stand to gain more interns of Allah’s mercy, protection and blessing in doing that.

He advised members of the organization not to hide under the canopy of the harsh economic reality in the country to shun participating in its activities, adding that it was formed to propagate the tenets of Islam and to unite the Muslims.
Also speaking, the state Vice Chairman, National Association Women Journalists,NAWOJ, Hajia Rabi Jibo, thanked the quest lecturer for the erudite lecture, an exercise she noted had impacted, greatly in the life of the attendees.
She prayed Almighty Allah to reward Ustaz Ahmed, abundantly, protect and bless members of the organization and their families.
Our correspondent reports that the secretary of the organization in the state,Mallam Bilikisu Abdullahi Yahusa and other members attended the lecture.
