Consequent upon the Robberies that took place in Felele, the Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand C. Onuoha has, assured the Community as well as the Students of the Federal University Lokoja of their safety.
Onuoha gave the assurance in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Police Command in the state,SP.William Aya, on Tuesday in Lokoja and made a copy available to The Reporters.
The CP added that had deployed Tactical Team to the area for intelligence gathering, visibility Policing to reassures the Community of their safety. He urged the people of Felele to cooperate with the Police and other Security Agencies and volunteer credible information on the activities of criminal elements within Felele axis.
The Commissioner of Police assured the community of the Command’s unwavering commitment in ensuring adequate Security of lives and property.
Sources from the area told our correspondent that a curfew had been imposed in the area ,in the night to check the menace.
The source said the criminals were not just robbing residents of the community of their property, but also indulged in raping female students of the two higher institutions who rent apartments in that community.
