The Police Command in Kogi State has advised members of the public, especially those in the state, to disregard a social media report claiming that “Kogi State is hot for now”.

The Commissioner in charge of the Command, CP.Onuoha Bethrand C, gave the advice on Thursday in a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP.William Ovie Ayah and a copy made available to The Reporters in Lokoja.

The online publication recalls that a social media outfit had reported ,recently, that”Kogi State is hot for now”.

It therefore advised “those visiting Kogi State to see Family and Friends to please avoid Jimgbe, Elete, Emoro, Geregu, down to Ajaokuta”,adding that “this
Fulani people are really causing problems but assured that “the local vigilante are engaging them seriously.

It, however, noted that “from Itobe down to Idah, Ayingba is safe for now, pointing out that” those coming from Lagos, should” avoid Obajana old Dangote road.”
