Some members of Landlord and Landlady Association,Gadumo branch during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Lokoja on Saturday.
The All Progressives Congress,APC, woman leader at Gadumo community,Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi,Mrs Rabi Meliga, is dead.
Reliable sources close her family told our correspondent in Lokoja on Saturday that the decreased died last on Tuesday on transit on Itobe road while returning from a journey from the eastern part of the state to Lokoja.
Her husband, while speaking with our correspondent said the deceased was inside the same vehicle with him and one their children when death struck, adding that she was healthy shortly before her death.
Other sources said the late Rabi phoned her children, telling them of her planned return journey to Lokoja and instructed them to clean the house before her arrival.
The Reporters reports that Mrs.Rabi Meliga was also as an active member of Landlord and Land lady association of new Gadumo community where she displayed her leadership quality to the admiration of many people in the community.
Speaking at a meeting held by members of the association in honour of the deceased, they described her as a committed member whose absence would be greatly missed.
They prayed for the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased aljanah firdausi and her family ,the fortitude to bear the great loss.
The members,led by their chairman,Elder Sunday Ocholi, rose from the meeting to pay visit to Malam Meliga, the husband of the deceased where they expressed their heart-felt condolences over the demise of his wife.
Meliga appreciated the members for the visit, and told them that the 8th day prayer for the repose of his late wife comes up next Tuesday.
