“We must ensure the promotion of the aspiration and collective interest of the people and not indulge in promoting primordial interests,” the National President, NUJ,Chief Chris Isiguzo, urged Kogi state journalists during the occasion.
The Governor of kogi state,Alhaji Yahaya Bello,represented by the Commissioner of Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, commended the Alhaji Adeiza Momoh-Jimoh and his council for exemplary leadership as well as journalists in the state for being professional in the discharge of their duty.
Bello urged journalists to uphold ethics of their profession.
He assured that he had approved a bus for NUJ, adding that the current leadership of the union would get the vehicle before they leave office.
The event witnessed launching of a Book,entitled”Media Development in Kogi State,1991-2023 which was reviewed by Alhaji Mohammed Bello,former Zonal Director,FRCN,Ibadan, and investiture of some personalities,who made remarkable impact in the life of people in the state.
