According to him the imposition of the curfew followed the dangerous dimension the activities of hoodlums had assumed, adding the hoodlums attacked people with matches and breaking into business premises to cart away property.

“With the curfew imposed, there will be no movement throughout the state,” he said.

“Fintiri said only those on essential duties with valid identification would be permitted to move around during the period of the curfew.

“The governor is appealing to citizens and residents of the state to comply with the directive.

“Any person found contravening the order would be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law,” Wonosikou said.

A reliable source from Yola,in an interview with The Reporters on Sunday, said the majority of food items looted were those earmarked for cushioning the effect of COVID 19 but were left in the ware house for long, distributed, to the people.
