By Willy Punvwet Lafia.

Former Minister for Information,Mr.Labaran Makun and a strong member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,has advised the eleçtorate in Nigeria, especially those in Nasarawa state, not to succumb to their current social and economic hardship to sell their permanent voter card, PVC.

He said instead, they should use their PVC to vote for PDP in the forthcoming general electíons to change the current APC narrative which he noted had fallen short of fulfilling the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerian masses.

Makun also urged Nigerians to use the forthcoming general elections to correct their past mistake by rejecting, in it’s entirety, any candidate of the ruling APC that brought untold hardship “no one ever dreamed of in the country.”

The former Minister gave the advice at PDP campaign rally in Nasarawa Eggon Local Governnent Area of Nasarawa state.

He said PDP had carefully selected people of proven integrity that,if given the mandate, would in no distance future restore the battered nation’s economy as well as the good reputation Nigeria built over the years.

Makun, who said that Nasarawa Eggon Local Governnent Area had always been a home to PDP, expressed confidence that the party would get one hundred per cent support of the people of the area during polls.

According to him, the APC-led governnent in the state had no single meaningful infrastructure sited in the local government area and called on the people of the area to have faith in PDP for the total restoration of their morale and confidence in governance.

He also called on electorate to remain focused, steadfast and resist all forms of lies currently dishing out in effort to lure them into yet another four years of another painful hardship”.

In his remarks, the party’s gubernatorial flag bearer, Mr Emmanuel Ombugadu, assured the party supporters that if given the mandate to govern the state, his administration would lay emphasis on agriculture to raise food production and put in place, strong foundation for the promotion of sound educational development.

He thanked the people of the area for turning out enmasse at the rally, assuring them that their efforts would surely be rewarded,if they vote for PDP to govern the state in the next political dispensation.

The PDP chairman in the state, Mr Francis Orogu, said the time had come for the eleçtorate to again take decision to get it right by voting for PDP to put the country on a right track of development.
